Case: Village Patharri, Kanker
Due to toilets, “Have to bring 4-5 times more water than earlier in the house. Therefore, there was a demand for tap water again and again by the women. It was decided by Gram Panchayat and the community that every household will be provided with enough water. Facilitation was done for this, “Swachhatasthayitwa Puruskar” amount and community share / labour participation were received, the action plan was prepared, the total cost of which was Rs.321826 in which 33.13 % (Rs.166520) community contribution {is labor and material}. The technical assistance of PHE was received in the estimation and implementation.
There are 02 settlements in the village Patharri in which the pipeline is installed in its street and there are water connections from house to house. 50 Rs. per month is being paid by each family in lieu of water. For the management of this system, 02 Management Committee at the Habitation level are working since the year 2017. With this facility, all the families (58 families) of the village receive the water.
